High season in Argentina takes place during the months of January and February (summer holidays) and July and August (winter holidays). During those periods the local tourism is bigger and prices rise as well. Buenos Aires is beautiful all year round and there`s always a short getaway from the city: Summer time is the perfect time to head to Patagonia, the central Sierras (Cordoba and San Luis) and beaches of Buenos Aires` coast or famous Punta del Este in Uruguay. During winter time it`s a good opportunity to travel North East and West since rains are less frequent and the tropical temperature drops a few degrees. Autumm and Spring are ideal for the Cuyo Region (Mendoza) even though summer is a good time to visit it too. July and August are the best months for skiing in any of the many Resorts in Patagonia.Winter and Spring are great for visiting the Iguazu Falls and Salta and Jujuy.
